ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.96 g, 1 h), Dorothe..., Dioph..., and Aischines, magistrates, 132/1. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / ΔΩΡ/ΟΘΕ - ΔΙΟ / ΑΙΣΧ/ΙΝΗΣ Owl standing facing on Amphora; to right, forepart of lion to right; on amphora, H; to lower left, ΔΙ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 389d. Minor marks and light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
